ELIAS WILSON HORNER was born January 03, 1849 in Clinton Township, LaPorte Co., Indiana, and died May 11, 1929 in Medaryville, Pulaski Co., Indiana. He married MARY ALICE MALCOM April 29, 1877 in Pulaski Co., Indiana, daughter of JAMES MALCOM and ELIZABETH DAVENPORT. She was born May 20, 1860 in Grant Co., Indiana, and died January 15, 1941 in Pulaski Co., Indiana.
Prior to taking over his father's business, Elias was sent to apprentice
with his uncle Cornelius M. Horner in Monon, Indiana. Cornelius and
Elias were only a few years apart in age and prosperously worked together
for twelve years before Elias moved back to Medaryville. On November
9, 1905, Elias was elected Trustee for the town of Medaryville.
Elias and Mary are both buried in the Winamac Cemetery
with their three sons and wives.

i. CLAUD S. HORNER, b. May 24, 1878, Indiana; d. February 1965, Pulaski Co.,
Indiana; m. BLANCHE ROWLANDS, Abt. 1905; b. Abt. 1878, Ohio. In the
1920's, Claud was a salesman in the Horner General Store and later was a
cashier in the Horner Bank in Medaryville.
ii. META A. HORNER, b. October 1881, Medaryville, Pulaski Co., Indiana; d. June 07, 1941, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; m. ALFRED E. MALSBARY, November 01, 1905, Pulaski Co., Indiana; b. November 30, 1862, New Richmond, Indiana.
iii. RALPH EMERSON HORNER, b. April 19, 1883, Medaryville, Pulaski Co.,
Indiana; d. December 25, 1976, Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac,
Indiana; m. SARAH MAME GUILD, November 02, 1910, Pulaski Co., Indiana; b. June 11, 1886, Jasper Co.,
Indiana; d. October 10, 1973, Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac, Indiana.
Ralph was a founding partner in a law firm and President of the Winamac
Bank. He later served as Chairman of the Board.
iv. OWEN FRANCIS HORNER, b. October 09, 1886, Medaryville, Indiana8,8; d. February 26, 1970, Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac,
Indiana; m. MINERVA HELEN HUMRICKHOUSE, June 19, 1912, Home of J.C. Humrickhouse, Kokomo, Indiana; b. December 31, 1889, Miami, Miami Co.,
Indiana; d. February 1974, Anderson, Indiana. In 1908, Owen became Asst.
Cashier of the Medaryville State Bank, later he would become it's
President.
Helen's father worked on the Railroad, was heavy-set and died of a stroke.
